We can’t wait to see our guests tomorrow at CSV 50!
The coincidence of April Fool’s Day with our birthday party is just that, Perhaps, if you have friends and family who are inclined toward a prank or two (or five), the party will double as a prank-free haven—a fun and relaxing antidote to a day of marbles in your shoes or cardboard in your pancakes.
Here’s a partial peek at what we have on offer at the silent auction that will be ongoing for much of the evening.
The auction tables will be upstairs at our venue, for which we thank Lesley University. The dancing, once it begins, will be downstairs, with DJ, law school student, and CSV board member Alvin Benjamin Carter III at the helm.
We’re grateful to the many local businesses who have donated items for this fundraising effort.
All proceeds from the evening, including the auction, will go directly into our programs in the Cambridge Public Schools.During the last school year, the result of CSV’s work was 52,001 hours of volunteer time donated across all schools in the district. Of course, the real result is increased academic success, confidence, and bright prospects for Cambridge’s children. CSV’s overhead is low* and our output is high, so you can be confident you’re supporting an efficient organization, as well as one that has a long and storied history as a community effort.
