Upper School Opportunities (Grades 6–8)
After-school tutors, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, in five Learning Centers. We provide structure and training.
High School Opportunities
**new** Robotics Club Mentors. (various hours, some flexible, after school).
After-school tutors (2:45 to 3:45 p.m.), in all subjects.
After-school tutors for athletes (2:35 to 4:15 p.m.), especially in the sciences and math.
Before-school tutors (7:30 to 8:00 a.m.), in all subjects.
Academic Support during the school day in the Tutoring Center.
College and Career Mentors to help seniors with the college essay and application process, primarily on Wednesday afternoons, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Science Olympiad advisors to help students prepare for a particular event in your area of STEM expertise, between December and March. Some advising is done remotely, but some face-to-face meetings are required as well.
Classroom Assistants, as requested from CSV by teachers.
Elementary (K–5) School Opportunities
**new** Art & Science in One Program volunteers who go through a required training and then coach and mentor fourth- and fifth-graders in nature journaling outdoors, with their class.
Literacy tutors and Publishing Center volunteers to help young students learn to read and write (Grades 1–3).
**new openings** Reading Buddies volunteers to read aloud weekly to young students in the Port neighborhood of Cambridge, on Tuesdays at lunchtime.
Classroom and Library volunteers, as requested by teachers and librarians.
