Community Office Hours, Zoom/Dusk Edition
Cambridge School Volunteers welcomes members of the public to a series of community office hours in November. The virtual sessions will be offered on Sundays from 4:30 to 5:00 on Zoom. Meet Aramide Akintimehin
Aramide Akintimehin joins Cambridge School Volunteers (CSV) this fall as a graduate student intern. She is the founder of Talent Mine Academy, a free school for children who cannot afford quality education in Nigeria. Akintimehin’s internship with CSV includes learning and supporting CSV’s volunteer recruitment process as well as helping to develop CSV’s pilot Freshman Peer Mentoring Program. Meet Bersabell Yeshitla
Bersabell Yeshitla (she, her, hers), a Cambridge native and CRLS alumna, is embedded as a graduate student intern in Cambridge School Volunteers’ high school programs during 2020-21. She was graduated from CRLS in 2012, but she still lives by the school motto “Opportunity, Diversity, Respect.” Yeshitla holds a BA in International Studies from American University and is currently pursuing her MEd at the Harvard Graduate
NetPals video series
Cambridge School Volunteers’ collaboration with local companies and universities will take a new turn this summer to offer a video series to inspire and encourage interest in STEM subjects. Staff at CSV’s NetPals program, which pairs volunteers who work at one of 16 local partners with seventh-graders for one-to-one mentoring, will roll out the NetPals video series beginning in June.
